How can the correctness, inalterability and completeness (= integrity) of data, systems and processes be delivered and monitored? How should disruptions to this integrity be handled? This discussion paper is devoted to these questions. It is focused on technical data; personal data, i.e. data privacy aspects, are not covered. The paper is mainly addressed to component manufacturers and to integrators and operators. The questions relating to international supplier relationships and cross-company cooperation are of relevance beyond the security community. The white paper is also targeted at those responsible for product management and procurement. Further to this, it serves as a basis for discussion, learning and orientation for other working groups in the field of industrial security and Industrie 4.0.
